Terms of Service
Last updated: May 22, 2026. By creating a The Voice Pal account or using the The Voice Pal service, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
The Voice Pal is a software service that answers your incoming business phone calls with an AI voice agent, books appointments into your booking software, and sends SMS confirmations. We provide the service "as is" and continuously improve it.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and operate a legitimate business to use The Voice Pal. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate business information during onboarding.
- Maintain a Twilio account (or use one we provision on your behalf) and keep your call forwarding configured correctly.
- Comply with all applicable telecommunications law in your jurisdiction, including any required disclosures to callers that calls may be recorded.
- Not use The Voice Pal for outbound robocalls, telemarketing, harassment, fraud, illegal services, or any other unlawful purpose.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the service.
4. Billing & subscription
- The Voice Pal is billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Plans are listed on our pricing page.
- The 14-day free trial begins when your AI receptionist takes its first call. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
- The one-time onboarding fee ($399) is non-refundable once white-glove setup begins, but is fully refundable if you cancel before we begin onboarding.
- Overage calls beyond your tier's included amount are billed at the rate posted on the pricing page at the end of the calendar month.
- You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Service continues through the end of your current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds.
5. Acceptable use
The Voice Pal may not be used to operate businesses engaged in fraud, harassment, illegal goods or services, unsolicited outbound calls, or any activity that violates law or major payment-network rules. We may suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe is being used for prohibited purposes.
6. Intellectual property
The Voice Pal retains all rights to our software, models, designs, and brand. You retain all rights to your business data, call recordings, transcripts, and customer information. We have a limited license to process your data only as needed to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Service availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but make no guarantees. We are dependent on third-party services (Twilio, OpenAI, AWS, your booking software) and outages in those services may affect The Voice Pal.
8. Disclaimers
THE VOICE PAL IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE AI WILL CORRECTLY HANDLE EVERY CALL OR BOOK EVERY APPOINTMENT WITHOUT ERROR.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Voice Pal's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify The Voice Pal against third-party claims arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
11. Termination
You may cancel at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these terms with reasonable notice, or immediately for prohibited use. On termination we will provide a 30-day window for you to export your data.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
13. Text messaging program
Program: The Voice Pal appointment notifications. By providing your mobile number to a business during a phone call, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages — appointment confirmations, reminders, and scheduling updates — related to the appointment you requested.
Message frequency varies based on your activity (typically one message per booking or change). Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
For help, reply HELP or email support@thevoicepal.com. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP at any time; you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. We do not send marketing or promotional messages, and we do not share mobile opt-in data with third parties for marketing — see our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to active customers at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
