SMS Program

Text messaging & opt-in

How appointment text messages work for businesses that use The Voice Pal, and how their customers consent, opt out, and get help.

Program name

The Voice Pal — Appointment Notifications. Businesses that use The Voice Pal send transactional appointment text messages to their own customers through this program.

How customers opt in (Call to Action)

Opt-in happens verbally, during a phone call that the customer initiates to a business that uses The Voice Pal:

  • A customer calls the business to book or ask about an appointment.
  • The Voice Pal AI receptionist answers and, when booking, tells the caller it will text a confirmation to the phone number they are calling from.
  • The caller hears this exact disclosure before the message program begins:

"We'll text your appointment confirmation and reminders to this number. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, and message and data rates may apply."

By continuing with the booking after this disclosure, the customer consents to receive the transactional text messages described below. Consent is never bought, sold, or shared, and opt-in data is never shared with third parties for marketing.

What messages customers receive

  • Appointment confirmations (date, time, service)
  • Appointment reminders
  • Scheduling updates (e.g., reschedule or cancellation notices)

These are transactional messages tied to a specific appointment the customer requested. We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on the customer's activity — typically one to three messages per appointment (a confirmation, an optional reminder, and any change).

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. The Voice Pal does not charge customers for text messages; standard carrier rates from the customer's mobile plan may apply.

Opt out and help

  • To stop receiving messages, reply STOP at any time. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages.
  • For help, reply HELP or email support@thevoicepal.com.

Privacy & terms
